Our Mission

Our coaches are here to develop your kids by helping them to develop as people AND as wrestlers. If they enjoy what they're doing, they will be successful! They may not always win, but they will develop character, self-esteem and good citizenship.

Alex Strouth

“Alex has been coaching at the Lakewood Youth Wrestling Club since 2017, when his son joined the team as a kindergartener. He teaches wrestling fundamentals like body positioning, creating and taking space, hand control, and sound technique. Alex was a two-time high school state qualifier in Ohio and wrestled for 3 years in college at Colorado School of Mines and the University of British Columbia. Alex’s goal is for his wrestlers to have fun, learn new skills, and participate in a wide variety of other sports and activities.”
